The room was rather clean and there was tea and coffee provided. the location was great, near the jetties, Chinatown, and a local food market. It was a good base for exploring the city. the air conditioning worked really well in the room and it was quiet, which made for a comfortable stay.
We were given a room without a window, even though the pictures online showed rooms with windows. the Wi-Fi was poor and unstable, constantly switching off in the evenings.

The location of the hotel was great, with key attractions such as the clan jetties, street art, and Little India within walking distance. There were also plenty of eateries along the way, making it convenient for grabbing a bite to eat. Additionally, the staff was friendly and helpful, offering services like printing and a luggage storage room.
The lack of accessibility to the common room before 2pm, which was inconvenient for early arrivals or those wanting to leave their luggage after check-out. The cleanliness of the bathroom was also a letdown.

Convenient location near ferry pier, shops, restaurants, and attractions. Clean, comfortable room with AC, fan, own bathroom, and ample towels. No receptionist at night, but overall economical and recommended for budget travelers. Mixed dormitory offers personal fan, AC+fan, comfy bed, personal small locker, and lots of shelves. Beautiful seaside view, helpful staff, and excellent location for exploring Georgetown.

During our recent stay at Sim Citystay, we had a great experience. The room was quiet, clean, and had a nice rooftop area to relax in. The bed was extremely comfortable, allowing us to rest well. The owner, Vincent, was not only friendly but also very funny, making our stay even more enjoyable. We appreciated his knowledge about Chinese Malay history, which he shared with us. The availability of free coffee and tea was a nice touch, and the common area provided a pleasant space to spend time in. The toilet and shower facilities were impeccably clean, and we thoroughly enjoyed our warm showers. I would highly recommend Sim Citystay to fellow travelers.

The value for money at this hotel was excellent, and the room was clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed. The location was perfect, within walking distance of all the attractions, and the staff were friendly and accommodating.
The only thing that could have made the breakfast better was a wider selection of food options.

The hotel provided free tea and coffee, which was a nice touch. The room was clean and well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable stay. the hotel's location was convenient, with easy access to the city center and plenty of food and entertainment options nearby.
We also had to request fresh towels halfway through our stay, and there was no offer to change our bed. The lack of a common area outside of reception hours was also a drawback, limiting the options for relaxation and socializing.

Convenient location near the Jetty Bus Terminal, making it easy to access transportation. Walking distance to the Street Art, eliminating the need to rent a bike. Plenty of street food stalls available nearby, offering a wide variety of dining options. Central location with cute restaurants, bars, and public bus stations in the area. Helpful and respectful staff who upgraded us to a room with a nice view when our AC stopped working. Staff accommodated us by allowing us to store our luggage and use the shower facilities after checkout.
Felt very comfortable and had no complaints during our stay.

I recently extended my stay in Georgetown and found Sim Citystay to be perfect. The hostel is clean, quiet and has great air conditioning. The staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome and the location is excellent, with plenty of amazing places to eat nearby. The hidden gem is the rooftop, where you can enjoy stunning views of Georgetown and the harbor while listening to the call to prayer from the nearby mosque. Definitely a fantastic place with fantastic owners.
Totally recommend this hotel.

the dorm rooms were clean and comfortable, with personal fans, charging sockets, and lights. the AC worked perfectly and I appreciated being able to control the temperature. the location, slightly away from the center, offered a view of the sea and jetty. It was only a 10-minute walk to the center, where you can find a variety of restaurants and street art. the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, providing valuable information about nearby attractions.
It was excellent value for money. Cons: Nothing to dislike.

I stayed at Sim Citystay for 5 nights and it was absolutely lovely. The dorm beds were great with personal fans, charging sockets, and lights. The AC worked perfectly and you could control the temperature. The shower had good water pressure and the option for hot water. The room was cleaned every day. The location, although slightly away from the center, offered a view of the sea and jetty. It was only a 10-minute walk to the 'center' with many restaurants and street art along the way. Excellent value for money and extremely friendly staff.
Would recommend this hotel.
